Are you one that spends ages in front of the mirror drying your hair only to have it go frizzy as soon as you step outside?
Enter H2D iR Professional Hair Dryer.
What does IR stand for? Infra-Red.
What does IR do? In-built infrared heaters allow heat to penetrate deep into the cortex of the hair shaft. This relaxes each strand of hair and dries from within to reduce drying time even further.
Have you ever had a hair tool with an Ionic generator? This new H2D iR hair dryer contains an ionic generator which sounds quite fancy…and it is! The hairdryer actually creates millions of negative ion particles. These particles seal cuticles, infuse moisture, eliminate frizz and provide that silky ‘just conditioned’ feel.
So now you’re wondering about the speed and heat settings? The H2D iR provides gentle air flow to your hair or hit the max setting for salon-strength power to rapidly dry your hair until it’s silky soft and ready for styling.
The result? Hair is dried extra fast leaving it light, smooth and silky-soft with a diamond shine. H2D iR is the hairdryer of choice for professionals and home users who want hair which looks and feels simply beautiful in less drying time. Treat your hair with one of the few hairdryers in the world to have both true ionic and infrared technology.
And what about the secret weapon…the “cold shot”! This is a powerful professional stylist’s trick. Style your hair with hot air and then hit it with the cold shot blast to ‘lock’ the shape and volume in place.

Guess What?! The Universal Styling Cream is FINALLY here and we couldn’t be happier.
Excited is an understatement. This product holds a special place in my heart as it has been a labour of love for the last 8 months. Prototypes back and forward, salons trialling it and collaborating feedback to create this great new product. The result is amazing and we hope you love it just as much as we do!
I’m sure you’re probably wondering what is actually is. The Universal Styling Cream is a multi-purpose styling cream that can be used to accentuate curls and improve hair lustre while also great for smooth blow-drying. It’s very lightweight so also great for anyone with fine hair!
Amongst an abundance of awesome ingredients, the Universal Styling Cream boasts two new elements that we are all so excited to incorporate into the product. The first is Hibiscus Flower Extract and the second is Kerarice.
The Hibiscus flower gives suppleness to hair fibres, contributes to fortifying hair, reduces greasy hair appearance, increases brightness and brings a silky touch to the hair. The key benefit of the Hibiscus flower is improvement in lustre which is obtained by repairing damaged polysaccharides on the keratin chain.
The Kerarice is naturally derived from the rice plant and is an active ingredient bursting with amino acids & peptides, specifically designed to protect hair fibres from the oxidative damage generated by solar radiation UVA and UVB.

There are a variety of scalp conditions that can lead to discomfort, skin damage or cosmetic disadvantage. These scalp conditions might be caused by excessive oil production, genetics, scalp infection or internal health issues. Most scalp conditions are not contagious, but some conditions caused by infection are transmittable to others.
EverEscents Organic Hair Care have had fantastic results with the Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner range which is a nourishing formula that is designed for normal to dry scalp and is also perfect for helping to alleviate scalp conditions. Certified Organic Lavender Oil promotes new cell growth, restores moisture to the hair and skin and reduces scalp irritations.
Among the different types of scalp conditions are:
Psoriasis is a non-curable and non-contagious skin condition that affects 2-3 percent of the population. Psoriasis causes red, scaly patches that can appear on any portion of the body, including the scalp. It is unclear what causes the condition, but it may be connected to immune system disorders.
Most people have had or will experience some degree of dandruff during their life. If you have a flaky/itchy scalp, don’t be embarrassed: you are not alone and there are many effective products available to treat it. ‘Dandruff’ describes any type of scalp flaking.
Alopecia is characterized by a destruction of hair follicles, and permanent hair loss. Why this happens isn’t entirely understood, but like Alopecia Areata, the cause is thought to involve the auto-immune system.
Contact dermatitis is an inflammation of your scalp caused by an allergy-producing product. The most publicized reaction, and the most severe, is anaphylaxis from hair colouring.
Folliculitis is an inflammation of your hair follicle, and it usually occurs sporadically. If you have folliculitis, you will notice the formation of tiny pustules at the affected follicle openings. It can cause intense itching and tenderness
Eczema is a form of inflammatory dermatitis that only occurs if you have a genetic predisposition. Most people with this disorder will have had outbreaks as children, but it can occur at any age.
Neuro-dermatitis is a hard, patchy scale most often limited to the upper nape of your neck. It is most common in middle-aged women and, as the name suggests, is associated with nerves and the nervous system.
Cradle cap is a yellowish, patchy, greasy, scaly and crusty skin rash that occurs on the scalp of recently born babies. It is usually not itchy, and does not bother the baby. Cradle cap most commonly begins sometime in the first 3 months. Similar symptoms in older children are more likely to be dandruff than cradle cap. The rash is often prominent around the ear, the eyebrows or the eyelids
It is often difficult to pinpoint exactly what causes scalp conditions, however if you find that you are suffering from any of the above scalp conditions, then using a good quality natural and organic hair shampoo and conditioner like the EverEscents Lavender range will certainly assist. Many mainstream hair care brands contain harsh chemicals and cheap detergents such as SLS and can acerbate scalp conditions. The EverEscents range will help to soothe your irritated scalp and alleviate any irritations such as dandruff, psoriasis, itchy/flaky scalp. It’s that time of year again and for many people, and swimming will surely be a part of your everyday routine this summer. But your hair might not like it as much if it’s not looked after properly.
Salt water is easier to deal with than chlorine as it is simply drying as opposed to the chemical-laden swimming pools and the damage they can do to hair!
Too much chlorine and metal exposure from the pool will cause our hair go green. Here are some tips on avoiding those dreaded green locks and damaged dry ends from chlorine and salt water.
SOAK YOUR HAIR BEFOREHAND – Add moisture to your hair prior to jumping in the pool. Think of your hair like a sponge, ready to soak up any water. If you put a dry sponge into the pool, it will absorb more of the chemicals than a wet sponge that has already been saturated in water. So, wet the hair and/or put in a leave-in conditioner prior to going to the pool. Click here to view our Organic Leave In Moisture which is perfect for this use. Our Organic Moroccan Argan Oil is also very effective for this, see below for more info.
EVERESCENTS MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL – This miracle oil has many uses and protection from swimming is just one of them. Apply a few drops from root to ends prior to swimming in chlorine or saltwater and it will help to protect the life of your colour and condition of your hair.
USE A GOOD QUALITY SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER – Once you have finished swimming, try and wash your hair as soon as you can and use a good quality moisturising shampoo and conditioner. The EverEscents Cinnamon & Patchouli Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner is sure to restore even the most damaged locks! Click here to check it out.
BRUSH CAREFULLY – Since hair is most fragile when it’s wet, don’t rip a brush through it after swimming. Spray a good quality Organic detangler on it, and then use a wide-tooth comb to minimize breakage. Watch this space for the brand new EverEscents Organic Detangler coming out soon!
GET A HAIRCUT – It’s always best to get a trim before summer. The sun will do extra damage to hair that’s already dry, so if you remove those dead ends, you’ll be in better shape.
WEAR A HAT – It’s one of the best ways to protect your hair and scalp from the sun’s rays.
TYING YOUR HAIR UP – Always be careful you don’t tie your hair too tightly or especially when it is wet as it might cause your hair to break. Try and tie it up loosely and change the way you tie it up so that it isn’t stressing the same hair strands each time.
TREAT YOUR HAIR REGULARLY – Whilst you are swimming in the ocean and/or pool, try to give your hair a weekly treatment with a good quality moisture treatment at least once a week. Our EverEscents Deep Treatment is perfect for this, click here to find out more.
We hope these tips have been helpful and please enjoy the beautiful Summer that is well on its way! If you would like to view our website, please click here
Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that is commonly used by brands claiming to be “natural”. truthinaging.com recently reported that the FDA warned that this “natural preservative”, which is often used in cosmetics of all types (including shampoo and conditioners), can cause shut down of the nervous system, vomiting and contact dermatitis.
Phenoxyethanol is a glycol ether and is used as an anti-bacterial in cosmetics and also as a stabilizer in perfume, it is also commonly found in: paint, lacquer and jet fuel……just perfect for your morning cleanse!
Sciencelab.com’s Phenoxyethanol Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), states:
Potential Acute Health Effects: Extremely hazardous in case of eye contact. Very hazardous in case of skin contact, or ingestion or inhalation.
Potential Chronic Health Effects: Extremely hazardous in case of eye contact, very hazardous in case of skin contact, of ingestion or inhalation. The substance is toxic to kidneys, the nervous system, liver. Repeated or prolonged exposure to the substance can product target organs damage. Repeated or prolonged inhalation of vapors may lead to chronic respiratory irritation.
Truthinaging.com goes on to say that Phenoxyethanol is harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin and that it can cause reproductive damage. The MSDS refers to 100% concentrations, so is it safe at lower doses? In cosmetics the concentrations are typically 0.5% to 1%. But tests have shown to cause irritation. There are several animal studies (yes those poor animals, this is not something we condone, nor are EverEscents Organic Hair Care products tested on animals, for that very reason) that demonstrate that it is toxic, with effects on the brain and the nervous system even at moderate concentrations.
Another irony is that it is showing up so frequently because manufacturers are trying to be paraben-free and Phenoxyethanol is being used as a not-so-safe alternative.
