Sage Hair Noosa was born from passion for exceptional hair services with a low-tox feel. The dynamic duo behind Sage Hair Noosa had the idea of creating a toxic free environment where their guests can feel at peace knowing that their health is valued by this caring team.
Ashlee and Deb, owners of Sage Hair Noosa live and breathe the relaxing Noosa lifestyle and have always had a love for eco friendly initiatives. After working in many different salons throughout their independent careers, the two ladies knew when it came to their own space it was going to radiate love for themselves, their team, clients and the environment.
Together Ashlee and Deb have over 17 years’ experience in the hair industry and this salon was reborn to show the best of what they both have to offer.
We sat down with the two salon owners, Ashlee and Deb, to chat all things ethical practices and the salon ethos.
The Sage Hair Noosa salon is bursting with EverEscents Organic Hair Care products everywhere you look. We were dying to know the ‘why’ Ash and Deb chose to spread the EverEscents love with their salon guests.
“We love supporting local businesses, the EverEscents team are amazing and so supportive. Our salon space is only 25 minutes drive from the EverEscents Head Office so it just feels right that we are using and recommending a range of products that are so close to home.
We love the fact that EverEscents contains a high percentage of Organic ingredients, we specifically chose a range of haircare that align with our health values – this really brings in the no-tox / low-tox lifestyle. The EverEscents range smells amazing, scented by organic essential oils we absolutely love talking about the different ingredients with anyone who enters our salon. We are very proud to say our space is an EverEscents salon.”
“What are some of the sustainable practices you offer in your salon?” We asked.
“We offer the bonus of a refill station to our clients. This gives them the opportunity to reuse, recycle and save money. We started our refill station because we both hate single use plastics. It is so simple to refill, doing our part for the environment and ease for clients.”
With the increase of single-use plastic polluting our waterways, it is now more important than ever that we do what we can to reduce waste. The EverEscents team have designed our bottles to enable customers to easily refill and reuse your bottles rather than disposing and buying a new product.
Ashlee and Deb have a beautiful energy about them and this flows through their creative hair styling work. We wanted to know how they feel their services differ from other salons.
“I feel our hair styling work is as organic as our salon. Our services and styles change for each client. No two pieces of work are the same, it changes for our clients’ needs and wants.
Lastly, there was one thing we HAD to know before we let the ladies go. “What is your go-to EverEscents product of choice right now?”
“The Organic Cinnamon and Patchouli Moisture range is a favourite in our salon. Our clientele live by the beach and are always in the water. We have a lot of dry hair from surfing and hair that is salt fried from the sun. We use this range, paired with the Organic Fresh Mint Shampoo on most of our salon guests.
We also offer curl hydrations & dry cuts at the salon with both EverEscents and Clever Curl. We love to see our clients faces when using step by step products from the basin to the styling.
One of our favourite techniques at the moment is to use the wet brush with the products in clients textured hair at the basin. This enables the product to be pushed through and ensures optimum hydration.”
Ash and Deb are very proud of what they have achieved so far with Sage Hair Noosa and so excited about the future.
